With hearts full of love and remembrance, we share the passing of Alisha Rene Gaisford, a woman whose life was shaped by compassion, faith, and a deep devotion to the people she loved. Alisha moved through the world offering warmth, care, and sincerity in ways that often spoke louder than words.
Above all else, Alisha was a proud mother. Her daughters, Emma and Sophia Gaisford, were the center of her world and the greatest expression of her love. She loves them with all her heart and strength, building them to have steady hearts and an open spirit. She shared her daughters with their father, Henry Gaisford, and through them, her love continues to live, grow, and endure.
Alisha was deeply loved by her mother, Leann Alfaro-Arias, and shared a meaningful, supportive bond with her stepfather, Guillermo Alfaro-Arias, whose presence in her life brought steadiness and care. She was a cherished sister to Christopher Corbin and a beloved niece to her aunt Jackie and uncle Paul, who each held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her father, James Corbin, a relationship Alisha was thankful to have.
Alisha found peace in nature and renewal on the trail, where hiking brought her closest to God's creation. Her faith was central to who she was. She loved Jesus deeply, and her church community was a source of comfort, grounding, and belonging that shaped how she loved and served others.
She had a natural instinct for kindness and found genuine joy in doing things for others and making people happy. Often, when words felt difficult, Alisha turned to music, letting songs say what her heart felt but could not always express. Through thoughtful gestures, selfless acts, and an open-hearted presence, she brought light into the lives of those around her.
Those who knew Alisha will remember her as deeply sensitive and profoundly caring, someone who felt life fully and loved deeply. She carried both softness and strength, vulnerability and resilience, and had a quiet way of making people feel seen, understood, and valued.
Though her life included moments of adversity, Alisha continued to love bravely and live with sincerity. Her spirit remains in her children, in her faith, and in the countless moments of kindness she leaves behind.
"I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." - Psalm 139:14
A truth Alisha held close for herself, and one she cherished deeply for her girls.
