Ahlon Twitty Obituary

Ahlon Jakirra Twitty, affectionately known as "Lonnie Bunn," was born on January 26, 2006, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Marcus McKeith Twitty, Sr. and Tina Renee Giles Twitty. She received her education in Spartanburg County schools and was a proud graduate of Dorman High School. Ahlon was known for her vibrant personality. She was outgoing, vocal, and unapologetically outspoken. She had a passion for creativity and expressed herself through drawing and braiding hair with great skill. Ahlon was a true people person who enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, and eating her favorite foods. She loved the color blue in all its shades, a reflection of the beauty and depth of her spirit. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thelma and John Twitty; her maternal grandfather, Wilkin Giles; and her aunt, Rhonda McAbee. Forever cherishing her memory are parents, Marcus McKeith Twitty, Sr. and Tina Renee Giles Twitty of the home; beloved son, Kaizyn Twitty; grandmother, Mary Robertson of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Marcus Twitty, Jr. and Wesly Twitty both of Spartanburg, SC; sisters LaRaven Twitty, Nydia Twitty, and Ta'Nasia Ross, all of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Sharon (Henry John) Giles, of Spartanburg, SC, Pamela Giles of Spartanburg, SC, Tammy (Darryl) Hollis of Boiling Springs, SC, Sherry Gault of Moore, SC, Tonya Fooks of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, John (DeAndria) Twitty of Mauldin, SC, Tim (Tasha) Nesbitt and Kendrick (Nicole) Davis of Boiling Springs, SC, and Wilkin Giles of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends who also remain to honor and celebrate a life that touched so many. On the evening of Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Ahlon transitioned peacefully at home. Though her time here was brief by earthly measure, the imprint she left behind is deep and enduring.
