William Smith Obituary

William Paul Smith Jr. ,57 departed from this world into another after battling a lengthy illness on January 1, 2024, at his residence in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Paul was the oldest son of William Paul Smith and Nona Kathryn Moyer Smith and was born on January 24, 1966, in Deland, Fl. Paul grew up in the surrounding areas of Georgetown County. Then after attending Georgetown County schools, Paul made a career out of painting beach houses. In his spare time Paul enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and having oysters roast over an open fire. Paul loved spending time with his family and friends.. Paul also had a great love for his dogs which were his everything. Paul will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Paul is survived by his girlfriend Erica Lilly of Murrells Inlet, S.C, sister, Ricki Smith- Wright (Bruce) of Leonard, TX, brother, Steven Michael Smith (Kristi) of Garden City, S.C, daughter, Jennifer Smith and granddaughter(Jade) of Columbia, S.C; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wilson and Alice Smith, of Debordieu, His maternal grandparents, Otto and Patricia Moyer, of De Land, Fl. Our parents William and Kathryn, and one sister Patricia Suzanne Smith. As we say our farewells, let us remember the radiant spirit of the way Paul could make us laugh at his funny stories. A celebration of life will be at a later date and time.
