William Roberson Obituary

William "Bill" M. Roberson, Jr., 78, of Bluffton, SC passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at his home.
Bill was born May 4, 1947 in Savannah, GA to the late William M. Roberson, Sr. and Cecil Reddin Roberson. Bill was raised in Savannah, graduating from Savannah High School in 1965. He worked for Union Camp Corp., a prominent American pulp and paper company, for 25 years before retiring. But, Bill couldn't sit still. So he joined the workforce again for five years as a truck driver for a logistics company.
Bill moved from Florida to Sun City Hilton Head with his wife, Vickie. They traveled often together and enjoyed cruising all over the world. Bill loved the saltwater and all it had to offer. Whether boating in the Lowcountry waterways or casting a line-that was his happy place.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Lacey Godec; sister, Carrie Cole (Terry); three grandchildren, Brittney, Ashlyn, and Chloe; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Lillian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Carter Roberson; and two sisters, Barbara Jankiewicz and Pat Leavengood.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
