Victoria Watson Obituary

Victoria Linen Watson died on September 25, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. Funeral services were held on October 1, 2018 Nazareth A.ME. Church, conducted by Rev. Alfred Darby, pastor.

Mrs. Watson was born on September 10, 1934 in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of Mr. Buddy Grant and Ms. Ida Linen.

Affectionately known as "Toya", she was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County. She worked in housekeeping for several years in Myrtle Beach, SC, and was later employed with Georgetown Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 1995. Mrs. Watson Joined Nazareth A.M.E. Church in the Choppee Community at a young age, and faithfully served on the Usher Board and the Senior Choir. She was united in marriage to the late Mr. John Watson, Sr.

Surviving are her children, Buddy Grant, John Watson, Jr., Lillie B. Watson, Billy Watson, and Margie Geathers, all of Georgetown, SC, Brenda Watson, Greenville, SC, Blondell Ford, Edmond, OK, Patricia A. Canteen, Laurinburg, NC, Richard Gore, Englewood, NJ, and Tommy L. Watson, Rochester, NY; her step-children, Dee Robinson, Georgetown, SC, Martha Robinson and Retha Robinson-Jones of Rochester, NY; her siblings, Clara Cuttino, Georgetown, SC, and Thomas Grant, Stewart, FL. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
