Stephen Truesdale Obituary

Stephen Lorenzo Truesdale, Jr., 67, beloved husband of Sandra Ard Truesdale, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Mr. Truesdale was born the son of Stephen Lorenzo Truesdale and Corinthia Raye Rowell on April 24, 1952 in Hickory, NC. He worked in the steel industry for over 45 years and was a mentor, expert, and legacy of knowledge to many. His greatest love and enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, caring brother, and a loyal friend. His smile and laughter was contagious and he lived life with passion.

Steve married the love of his life, Sandra, on May 1, 1980. Their home was blessed with two children, Corey Truesdale Getson (Alexander) and Blair Ashley Truesdale (Selvin Martinez); and three grandchildren, Stevie, Gracie, and Kaia. He also leaves behind: two sisters, Stephanie T. Brooks and Cynthia T. Barnes.

He was predeceased by: his parents.

A Service Celebrating the Life of Steve Truesdale will be 2 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Georgetown First Assembly of God Church. Officiating will be Rev. LaRell Strickland.

Family and friends are invited to join the Truesdale family at a reception in honor of Steve immediately after the service at his homestead, 311 Indian Hut Road.

McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Truesdale Family.

Stevie taught me to drive a straight shift car. We graduated class of 1970 and he was always full of life. We both had braces and would ride together to Orangeburg to the orthodontists.
