Stephanie Freeman Obituary

Stephanie Reynolds Freeman, age 54, wife of Gary L. Freeman of Port Royal, South Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. EST at Anderson Funeral Home in Beaufort, South Carolina. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. EST at Cross Community Church in Port Royal, South Carolina, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. The funeral service will be broadcast live at https://crosscommunity.org/watch-online/. Stephanie was born on January 27, 1971, in Montgomery, Alabama. She was the daughter of Jackie Labriola (Charles) and Harrell Reynolds (Cathy), and the niece of Ruth Reynolds. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her three sons, G. Lawson Freeman II (Taylor), Jackson Freeman, and Hudson Freeman; her brother, Russell T. Reynolds (Mary Louise); and her sister, Kelly Reynolds; several nieces and a nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins who she dearly loved. She is also lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Ralston R. Freeman, and eagerly awaited the arrival of her soon-to-be granddaughter, Lillian R. Freeman. She is preceded in death by Bobby and Faye Freeman (in-laws), grandparents James and Billie Bailey, cousins Sonya Guatney, Scott Jacobs and Eric Jacobs, grandparents Vester and Missy Reynolds and Aunt Faye Reynolds. Stephanie spent her early years in Luverne, Alabama and later moved to Opelika, Alabama, where she graduated from Opelika High School. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She married Gary on June 18, 1994, and they shared over 31 wonderful years of marriage. During their marriage they lived in Auburn and Prattville, Alabama, Daniel Island/Charleston and Port Royal/Beaufort, South Carolina, making "forever friends" along the way. A devoted educator, Stephanie taught elementary and preschool children at several schools throughout Alabama and South Carolina, and most recently, Port Royal Elementary School, where she taught preschool. Stephanie was known for her warmth, kindness, and love for her family, friends, students, co-workers and neighbors. She brought a ray of light and joy to everyone she met. She was deeply loved in life and will be greatly missed. Above all, Stephanie knew Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her faith was her hope and assurance, both in life and now in eternity. We rejoice knowing she is singing and walking hand-in-hand with her Lord and Savior. Floral arrangements may be sent to Anderson Funeral Home at 611 Robert Smalls Parkway Beaufort, SC 29906. The family also welcomes donations in Stephanie's memory to Cross Community Church, 31 Shell Point Recreation Park, Port Royal, SC for a memorial garden at Port Royal Elementary School.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Stephanie was one of the most charismatic, kind, and gracious people I´ve ever known. Her smile lit up every room she entered, and her love for her family and for Jesus Christ shone through in everything she said and did.
