Ruby Mariz Obituary

Ruby Dell Mariz, 89, of Beaufort, SC, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at NHC in Bluffton, SC. Graveside funeral service will be Private at Beaufort National Cemetery. Dell was born on October 6, 1936 in Columbia, SC. She is the daughter of the late O'Dell Ramey and Rubye Ramey. After marrying Russ, they moved to Massachusetts where they lived for 21 years before returning to Beaufort SC. Dell loved to travel and after the passing of Russ, took a long desired trip to Europe. She loved animals and adopted several stray cats after searching tirelessly for their owners. She leaves three daughters, Celena (Cam) Leon of Florence, MA, Linda Cole of Lynchberg, VA and Donna Norton of Frericksburg, VA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to your favorite animal shelter.
