Roy Jacobs Obituary
Born on June 4, 1936, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Troy Clifford Jacobs and the late Margie Powers Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs attended Ringel Heights Baptist Church and the Sonshine Sunday School Class. In 1964, Mr. Jacobs started R.C. Jacobs Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. When not working, Mr. Jacobs enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and snow skiing. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Watts Jacobs of Georgetown; two children, Robert Jacobs (Cindy) of Georgetown and Lynne Miller (David) of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Katie Moore (Michael) of Georgetown, Holly Herron (Jason) of Mt. Pleasant, Casey Jacobs (Jenna) of Georgetown and Katherin Simpson (Zack) of Georgetown; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Lavern Jacobs (Joanne) of Georgetown and Duwayne Jacobs (Sylvia) of Moncks Corner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday in the Ringel Heights Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Ringel Heights Baptist Church, Missions, 78 Rubin Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440.

Roy was a man whom I respected greatly. My experiences with Roy and R.C. Jacobs Company many years ago revolved around the plumbing business and commercial projects where I handled the plumbing engineering for our clients. Roy was always professional, knowledgeable and compassionate and it was a pleasure for me to have had the opportunity to work with him. I enjoyed our working together and have always had thoughts about Roy when I worked in the Georgetown/Myrtle Beach/coastal areas. It's been many years since we worked together. I have occasionally seen Duwayne, sometimes at an MCASC function. I hopefully would like my thoughts, prayers and condolences to be shared with your families.
