Roland Brower Obituary

A funeral service for Roland Edward "Ed" Brower, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Salem United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Brower died Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Born in Georgetown, SC, he was a son of Carolyn Priester Brower and the late Roland Cecil Brower, Jr. A graduate of Francis Marion College, he was a longtime teacher at Tara Hall in Georgetown County and enjoyed working at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. Ed was an associate member of the Marine Corps League and an active member of the Lions Club in Georgetown. He was a member of Salem UMC. An avid golfer and sports fan, he was a lover of puzzles and a devoted son and brother.

Surviving are his mother, Carolyn Brower of Irmo, SC; brother, Charles Brower (Liz Beasley) of Durham, NC; and aunt and uncle, Lamar and Virginia Priester of Hampton, SC.

Memorials may be made to Brain Injury Association of South Carolina, 140-A Amicks Ferry Road, Suite #331, Chapin, SC 29036.
