Roger Poulin Obituary
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther M. "Tess" Poulin; four sisters, Yvette Sandberg (Ernest), Germaine Maigret (Paul), Lucienne Flannery (Jim), and Theresa Casavant (Don) and a brother, Gerry Poulin (Mary).
Survivors include three sons, Michael G. Poulin and his wife, Melissa of Murrells Inlet, SC, Mark R. Poulin and his wife, Lore of Murrells Inlet, SC and Stephen J. Poulin and his wife, Robin of Pawleys Island, SC; and grandchildren, Aimée, Karlee (Joseph Michael), and Benjamin.
Roger was a member of Precious Blood of Christ in Pawleys Island, as well as the Elks Club, & the Alumni Association of Maine Maritime Academy. He proudly served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Coast Guard. Roger retired from International Paper after more than thirty years of dedicated work.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Precious Blood of Christ, 1633 Waverly Road, Pawleys Island, SC 29585. A service with inurnment and military honors will take place in early August in Waterville, Maine.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Roger's name to one of the following:

Please accept the sincere condolences of an International Paper Company brat who remembers your father and grandfather.
In 1974, IP transferred my dad -- Harold Moore -- from the Ticonderoga mill to the corporate office in New York City. In the late 1980s -- when Mr. Poulin was my lunch customer at the Rice Paddy restaurant in Georgetown, S.C. -- he told me he rode with us during that 1974 car trip from Ti to Manhattan.
Roger Poulin was a nice, handsome man! His name is one of my favorites of all time. His paper mill nickname was cool, too! He reminded me of those movie stars who played action heroes in the 1950s to 1970s. My dad liked Mr. Poulin.
I'm so glad your father spent his retirement years in Pawleys Island surrounded by his children and grandkids, which surely added value to his quality of life.
