Roger McConnell Obituary

Roger Elton McConnell, 56, a beloved father, son, and friend, departed this life, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. McConnell was born the son of Charles Rolson McConnell, Sr. and Dorothy Clark McConnell on August 21, 1965 in Georgetown. He was born the 4th of four siblings, Debbie, Becky, and Chuck. He was a 1982 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was employed as a Security Guard for DeBordieu Colony. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, Nascar Racing, and was an avid Kyle Busch fan.

He is survived by: three children, Allie McConnell (Cody Player), Malarie McConnell (Micah Howard), and Cassy McConnell (Kyle High); two sisters, Deborah "Debbie" McConnell Snider (Rolan), Becky M. Goude (Jeff); and a brother, Charles "Chuck" McConnell (Lorie). He is also survived by: his uncle, Raymond "Buddy" Clark; his aunt, Janet Brandt; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by: his parents.

A Graveside Service will be 2PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
