Robert Grice Obituary

Robert Grice, 70, died on May 4, 2017 at William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veteran's Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday May 12, 2017 at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ, where Dr. Bishop Floyd Knowlin is pastor.

Mr. Grice was born on October 16, 1946 in Georgetown, South Carolina to Mrs. Christina Johnson-Grice and Mr. Timothy Grice. His father, and a son Robert Lamont Grice, preceded him in death. He attended Choppee High School, graduating in 1964. Throughout his life he was employed in many areas including: Wakefern "Shoprite Distribution", Union, New Jersey, Lead Construction Foreman for nearly 22 years with the District of Newark, NJ, Rush Masonry Company, Columbia, SC (where he supervised the crew construction in building the new Keenan High School).

Survivors include his daughters, Abrina Pierson, Sandra Grice and Bridget Barnhill ; his siblings, Timothy Grice II, Willie Ben Grice, Clifton Grice, Dorethia Bromell, Al Grice, Brenda Grice, Linda Grice, Lavern Grice, Vernard Grice, Cora Grice, Alex Grice, Sr., Winnie Grice, Edith Grice-Peay, Menia Grice-Lockhart, Leon Bellamy and Pearl Dowe. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
