Reneé Testin Obituary

Renée Testin, 86, passed away at her home on August 5th, 2025, after a brief illness. Renée was so humble, not knowing how many lives she touched. She was a faithful servant to our Lord. Her Roman Catholic faith held her strong as a loving person with a beautiful soul. She met her husband, Robert (Bob) and they married in 1960. Together, they raised five children. Her husband and children were her gift from God, and she treated them as such. After raising her children, Renée decided to pursue her musical passion. She received her BA in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1987 graduating Magna Cum Laude. She started teaching students piano in her home in Richmond, and continued her teaching career through moves to Seneca, SC and then to Pensacola Florida. She taught for 33 years after which she retired at Pawleys Island in 2020. She was beloved by all her students, with many continuing to reach out to her long after she had retired. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Rosemary Michaud, her husband of 55 years, Robert Testin, her brothers Joe and Denys and her sisters Maryrose, Angéle and Nanette. She is survived by her five children Joan (Barb), Dan (Karen), Anne (Steve), Rosemary (Mike) and Carolyn (Curtis), her 7 grandchildren Jessica, Phaedra, Kristin, Frankie, Davis, Blake, and Ella, her 8 great-grandchildren, and by her siblings Charlotte, Terese, Jacqueline, Paul, Frank, and Delores.
