REBECCA FORD Obituary

Rebecca Cunningham Ford, 90, of Georgetown, SC, died on October 18, 2015 at Tidelands Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 2pm on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Georgetown Church of Christ where Minister Fred Ady is pastor. Viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Friday at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.

Mrs. Ford was born on April 9, 1925 in the Rhems Community of Nesmith, in Williamsburg County, SC, a daughter of Rosetta Scott and Doc Nesmith. She was educated in Willamsburg county public schools and later worked in various capacities, including with Crown Reef Resort, as a housekeeper. She was a member of Dunbar Church of Christ, and was an avid gardener.

Sometime after the death of her first husband, Bethel Cunningham, Sr., she married Oscar Ford. He too, predeceased her.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her children, Betty Horsley and Vernell Dawkins, Willingboro, NJ, Frances K. Doucette, Bristol, VA, Maeola Cunningham and Christopher Cunningham, Georgetown, SC, Susanne Smith, Chesapeake, VA, Gretta S. Cunningham, Surfside Beach, SC, Sherill C. Lawrence, Florence, SC; her sister, Vivian McCray, Georgetown, SC. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC. www.WildsFH.com
