I met Ron through his wife Pat a co-worker. The first time we met he told me he was taking her out on the town and sparing no expense. I asked him where were they going and he responded Macie D´s supper club. He reminded me of my father who referred to MacDonald´s the same way. He also worked at the same elevator company my father did. His sense of humor was the best. Whenever I talked with Pat, Ron would be in the back ground cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. He made the best Alien pancakes I have ever seen. We nicknamed him Picasso for his painting. A very loving husband, father and grandfather. I am going to miss our talks and texts. The world lost an incredible man and we will miss him everyday.

I am heartbroken to hear of Ron's passing. We've known each other for nearly 38 years beginning with his good-neighbor offer to help me chop up a fallen tree. We regularly had coffee and lunch together, shopped (window shopped mostly) for computer software in the 90's (at Egghead in Cary, NC) and got together regularly even after he and Pat moved up to Rolesville. It was tough to see them move out of the area to Florida but we managed for a while to still play Tiger Woods golf on-line and up until the week before his passing, frequently exchanged texts and emails, always talking about some the old times and more importantly re-enforcing our long-term as close friendship, always bantering back and forth in only a way Ron and I could do. You always called me little brother and I cherished it. I'll miss you forever Ron, you were and and will always be a unique and special com padre.
