Philip Hogan Obituary

Philip Gerard "Gerry" Hogan, of Pawleys Island, SC, died Friday, July 11, 2025, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on March 1, 1945, in Flushing, NY, Gerry was the son of the late Philip and Agnes Hogan. He was a proud graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Class of 1962, and Fordham University of NY, Class of 1966. Following his education, he honorably served in the USMC Reserves. Formerly of Princeton, NJ, Gerry dedicated many years to the textile industry in New York City before retiring to Pawleys Island. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sarah Dunn Hogan, in addition to his parents. Gerry found joy in golf, tennis, and his true passion, fishing. He was also a dedicated youth hockey referee for many years. Gerry served on the board for the Winyah Auditorium and sang for the Indigo Choral Society. He also sang in the choir at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Known for his generosity, Gerry consistently shared his time, experience, strength, and hope with others. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his presence will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Gerry is survived by his cherished wife, Ginny Hogan of Pawleys Island; his son, Patrick Hogan of Long Island, NY; his daughter, Liz Hogan Kubie, and her husband, Russ, of Ashburn, VA; and his beloved grandchildren, Tucker, William, and Caroline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church.
