Patricia Tupper Obituary

Patricia B. Tupper, 81, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Bluffton, South Carolina. Born February 14, 1945, in New Jersey to John and Gertrude Brennan, Patricia grew up in Dover, New Jersey, and graduated from Dover High School, where she was voted Most Athletic her senior year. She attended Potomac State College (now part of West Virginia University) in Keyser, West Virginia, for one year. In 1964, she married Brian Sullivan, Sr., and moved to Boothbay Harbor, Maine, where they raised their two children and owned Sullivan's Department Store for five years. Active in the community and always drawn to sports and fitness, Patricia especially loved racquetball and once placed second in a state tournament. She later remarried Stanley R. Tupper, Jr., and in 1983 moved to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. In 1993, she moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where she lived for three decades and found a community she loved. She had always loved the ocean and especially cherished the warm sunshine and the active lifestyle she enjoyed there. She was a member of Okatee Baptist Church, where she found a church family that meant a great deal to her. She later relocated to Bluffton in 2022. Patricia is survived by her children, Brian Sullivan, Jr. and Marcie Sullivan Baetcke; her grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher, Hondra, Courtney, Kailin and Ryan; her brother, John Brennan of Randolph, NJ; her sisters-in-law, Deborah Brennan and Patricia Sullivan; and her nephews, James and Ryan Brennan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Augustus Brennan and Gertrude (Loepsinger) Brennan. A memorial service will be held in Hilton Head Island at a date and time to be announced.
