Patricia Pynn Obituary

Patricia Pynn, 91, of Beaufort, SC, died Monday, August 18, 2025 at her daughters' residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 1:00pm in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Pynn "PP" was born on March 19, 1934 in Salem, MA. She is the daughter of the late George L. Caples and Helen Commerford Caples. She was married to her late husband, "Ronnie" for 38 wonderful years raising their children and seeing their grandchildren born. She moved to Beaufort, SC a few years after losing her husband and has resided here for 25 years. She was a feisty and fun-loving member of the Oyster Cove community and could be seen walking with her dog and then with her walker regularly throughout the neighborhood. Everyone knew what holiday was coming up as she was the first to decorate her house and yard to everyone's pleasure and enjoyment. "PP" was known for her fun-loving sarcastic wit and humor which was on display daily through her collection of t-shirts that accentuated her personality. She also was such a generous, giving person, giving to multiple charities and donating her time with the Alzheimer Family Services of Beaufort for many years. She was blessed to see her great-grandchildren the past few years and is so proud of her family and being everyone's' "Mum and/or Grammy". Surviving is her brother, Richard Caples in Garden Grove, Ca; two sons, Brian Pynn (Kathy) of New Hampshire and Shane Preston Pynn (Beaufort) and one daughter, Laurie Roberts (Glen) also of Beaufort. ; Grandchildren Alex (Ashley), Shane (Brittany), Danielle (Andrew), and Renee along with 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her immediate family, her extended family included many neighbors and friends, especially close are Melissa Sabean of Salem and Pat & Bill Strader of Beaufort. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Alzheimer's Family Services of Greater Beaufort at www.afsgb.org. She is already greatly missed!!!
