Patricia Dones Obituary

Patricia Dones, 61, died on July 18, 2018 in Georgetown, SC. Funeral services were held on July 25, 2018 at at Bethel A.M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Betty Deas Clark, Pastor.

Ms. Dones was born on September 29, 1956 in Georgetown, SC to the marital union between Mr. Benjamin "Bengie" Dones and Mrs. Earnestine Ward Dones. Affectionately called "Boo", she graduated from Howard High School and was a dedicated member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, where the family worshiped. Having had a strong work ethic, she worked at various jobs throughout her life including Rainey and Tarbox Fish House. Later, she worked in housekeeping in the Myrtle Beach hotel industry, and was a private duty health assistant. In 1981, Ms. Dones began dating Renard "Nardi" Kennedy. Their daughter Renarda was born in 1987. Although they never married, they had a true "love story", having shared a special bond for nearly forty-years.

Surviving are her children, Natasha Dones and Renarda Dones, and her granddaughter, Karis Sparkman all of Georgetown, SC; her siblings, Benjamin Ward of England, Norma D. Mitchell, Alvester Dones and Yvette Y. Middleton all of Georgetown, SC; her companion, Renard Kennedy of Georgetown, SC. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
