Mildred Hartley Obituary
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Terry Wilkerson, will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2PM at Georgetown Church of God. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30PM-2PM. Interment will be held in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
Born in Crossett, Arkansas on July 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Arnold Cager McClain and Audrey Leona Morgan McClain. Mrs. Hartley was a devoted member of Georgetown Church of God where she has attended since 1952. She was involved in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class, Ladies Ministries, Gold Years Club, and the Tuesday Morning Bible Study Group. She was an artist who enjoyed painting.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy H. Cribb (Billy) of Georgetown, Janice H. Powers (David) of Georgetown, Jeannie H. Cadden of Warrenville, SC; one son, Jimmy L. Hartley, Sr. (Frances) of Pooler, GA; one brother, James C. Morgan of Bastrop LA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Hartley and Joel Hartley; one sister, Bonnie Shipp; and one brother, Billy Arnold McClain.
