I am a member of the Church of Christ that meets in Manning and I have known Mary since I started attending Manning years ago. My children grew up in Manning and are now grown with kids of their own. Mary was a very special and unique women. She was not the typical "preachers wife". Mary gave the most honest, straight forward, advise. Her talks were priceless. She never took sides and was so down to earth. Mary would say what you were thinking. Mary did not act as if we were not "human" and made mistakes but she would let you know if you were in error. Mary counsel so many both personally and professionally. She was such a gem. She was my sister in Christ, a mother figure to me, guidance to my children and so much more. I could go on and on but I will just say, I like so many love and will miss Mary.

I'm saddened to learn of Mary's passing. We met several years ago when our children were being coached in tennis by Ted Brown and kept in touch thru the years. I remember her as a highly spirited, very positive self resolved woman, a friend. I pray that God will give you, Hal and family, all the strength you will need during this time. Remember, in all things, always trust God. May God Bless and Keep you.
