Mary Cumbie Obituary

Mary Frances Wilson Cumbie, 70, beloved wife of Dan Rhett Cumbie, Sr., passed away Sunday July 15, 2018 at her home.

Born on October 29, 1947, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Wilson and the late Bertie Martin Wilson. Mrs. Cumbie was a member of Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church and was the owner and operator of Cumbie's Restaurant. Mrs. Cumbie enjoyed many things in life, including traveling to the mountains, working in her yard, and most of all spending time with her family, who she loved dearly.

Survivors include her husband of Andrews; two children, Dan Rhett Cumbie, Jr. (Michele) of Andrews and

Lisa Ann Howard (Mickey) of Andrews; five grandchildren, Mitchell Cumbie (Martha), Jamie Cumbie, Matthew Cumbie (Paige), Pastor Kevin Howard and Lance Howard; five great grandchildren, Canaan Cumbie, John Easton Cumbie, Ella Cumbie, Allie Cumbie and Clay Cumbie; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Tinkerbell.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Howard; and five brothers, Woodrow Wilson, A.D. Wilson, Bishop Wilson, Charles Wilson and Sam Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Spring Post Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
