Mark Carter Obituary
In Loving Memory of My Beloved Husband, Mark Edward Carter.
August 25, 1975 – August 12, 2025, 49 yrs
My love, my heart writes these words in the language you taught me-gratitude, tenderness, and truth. Mark, you were a man who lived for others. Your greatest joy was found in the smiles of those you loved, especially your young daughter and your children, whom you loved more than life itself. You gave them not only your time and your care, but your whole heart-every single day.
You had a passion for pleasing and helping, for making sure everyone felt seen, cared for, and loved. You were sensitive in the most beautiful way-your tears fell easily, a reflection of your deep compassion and open heart.
Your kitchen was your stage, and your creations were acts of love. Whether it was your perfectly crafted pizzas or your adventurous experiments with new recipes, you cooked with the intention of feeding not just the body but the soul. You beamed with joy as you watched others laugh, talk, and fill the room with warmth after a good meal-your happiness blooming from theirs.
The ocean was your sanctuary. After long, trying days, you would find yourself drawn to the water, where the steady rhythm of the waves seemed to match the rhythm of your soul. It was there you found your deep peace.
For your siblings, you were the glue that held everyone together-loving each one in a way that was uniquely theirs, making them feel important and cherished.
Life wasn't without its struggles, yet you faced each one with quiet courage. You never lost faith, and you never stopped loving life-especially the life that meant being close to the people you held dear.
Your love for your mother, Sharon, was a foundation that shaped the man you became. You honored her every day through the kindness, humility, and care you showed the world.
You leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light. Though you are no longer here in the way I wish, you live on-in the scent of pizza baking, in the sound of waves, in the tears and laughter of those who love you.
Until we meet again, my love, I will carry you with me, in every kindness I give, in every shared meal, in every sunset over the water. You are not gone. You are here-in every beat of my heart.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa Truong Carter; his beloved daughters, Jasmine Y-Nhi Le and Kaylee Ann Carter; his cherished son, Tommy Truong Le; his loving parents, Sharon Ann Khardaji and Firas Khardaji; and his treasured siblings, Mary Carter Johnston, Amir Ajlani, Talia Khardaji Rouse, and Dany Khardaji. He also leaves behind countless family members and friends whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness, generosity, and love.
