Larry Williams Obituary

Larry Dominique Williams III, 25, died on February 17, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC. Funeral services were held on February 23, 2018 at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ where Bishop Dr. Floyd Knowlin is pastor.

Mr. Williams was born on January 8, 1993 in Georgetown, SC, a son of Carolyn Grate and Larry Williams, Jr. Since early youth, he was a member of Lighthouse of Jesus Christ, where he served on the Usher Board. He earned his diploma in the Georgetown County Public School System, and was a player with the Georgetown Recreational Dept. Basketball Team. A strong willed worker, as a teenager, he was employed as a groundskeeper with Wilds Funeral Home, and later moved onto Litchfield Beach Fish House as a cook, and Bill Floyd Sanitation Company. Mr. Williams also pursued a self-taught interest in building computers, and flourished doing so.

Surviving are his mother, Carolyn Grate of the home; his father, Larry Williams, Jr. (Tamiko), Georgetown, SC; Carolyn Williams (who lovingly reared him as her own), Georgetown, SC; his siblings, Crystal Collenton, Surfside, SC, Dwayne Grate, Damien Grate, Pawleys Island, SC, and Nathan Williams, Georgetown, SC; his grandfather, Larry Williams, Sr. (Mary), Georgetown, SC. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
