Larry Reece Obituary

Larry "Bucky" Reece, 57 of Church Hill, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Bucky was of the Baptist faith. He was a proud member of Marantha Baptist Temple, and he taught adult Sunday School there on occasion. Bucky was the store manager at Appalachian Tire at both the Bristol and Wytheville, VA locations. He made many friends throughout the years in the tire business, and he never met a stranger. To know Bucky was to love him and he was loved by so many. He was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Larry Reece and Imogene Hurst; and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Fleenor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Tracie Fleenor Reece; one daughter, Donya Fleenor, Dyersburg, TN; 3 sons, Coty Reece and wife, Elizabeth, Church Hill, TN, Matt Fleenor, Welch, WV, and his baby, PFC Holden Reece, Ft. Lewis, WA; 4 grandgirls, Laryn "Sweet Pea" Fleenor, Amelia and Ava Reece, and Journeigh Fleenor; father-in-law, Don Fleenor; sister-in-law, Patricia Gervis (Gabe); half-brothers, Ray Croxton, Dumfries, VA, and Clint Reece, Kingsport, TN; best friend and pastor, Samuel Rose (Elizabeth); as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends.
At Bucky's request, no services will be held. The family will host a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bucky's name to the Kingsport Homeless Ministry Grace House or the athletic department at Cedar View Christian School.
