Johnnie Mae Jones Richardson died on March 3, 2020 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC. Funeral services were held on March 10, 2020 at St. John A.M.E. Church, Rev. Joseph Swinton, Jr., pastor.

Mrs. Richardson was born on March 12, 1965 in Georgetown County, SC, to Mr. John A. Jones and Mrs. Gladys Jackson Jones, and was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church. She graduated from Howard High School's class of 1983, and then furthered her education at Technical College in Newport News, VA, receiving an Associate Degree in Medical Assistance. In addition, she studied at Spartanburg Methodist College, Spartanburg, SC, earning a Paralegal Degree. For several years, Johnnie Mae rendered exemplary service with Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC, in their Pulmonary Department as a Medical Assistant.

Surviving are her daughters, Shaquana Ferguson (Darrell), Myrtle Beach, SC, RaAisha Richardson and Selena Richardson, both of Pawleys Island, SC; six grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Wigfall and Victoria Jones, both of Pawleys Island, SC; one brother, John Q. Jones of Georgetown, SC. Services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
