John Ferguson Obituary

John W. Ferguson 71, of Burton, son of the late Deacon John Wesley and Martha Ferguson, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. A Service Celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Burton New Church of Christ, 85 Parris Island Gateway, Beaufort, SC 29906. Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens, 1 Copeland Drive, Beaufort, SC 29906. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Wake Services: 4 to 6 PM Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Burton New Church of Christ, 85 Parris Island Gateway, Beaufort, SC 29906. He was the father of John F. Cuthbert and Rashida F. Jones and the late John Wesley Ferguson, III; and the brother of Jannie Middleton, Elizabeth F. Blue, Bessie F. Washington, Shirley F. Brown, Rosina F. Griffin, Vernita F.
