Jerome Keith Obituary

Elder Jerome Keith, Sr., 57, of Georgetown, SC, died on November 2, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services were held November 10, 2015 at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ.

Elder Keith was born on June 28, 1958 in Georgetown, SC to Mr. Lessie Keith and Mrs. Evalena Singleton Keith. Following graduation from Howard High School he served in the U.S. Army until receiving an honorable discharge in 1979. He married the former Ms. Joyclyn Cooper on August 20, 1983, their union was blessed with five sons. For 27 1/2 years, he was employed as a supervisor with Santee Cooper Electric's Winyah Station. Elder Keith also served as a Georgetown County Volunteer Fire Fighter for 24 years. Throughout his life, he attended Gethsemane Baptist Church, Tabernacle House of Prayer, and Word of Life Christian Fellowship Church (where he faithfully served until his passing). In 2014, he attended and earned a Master's Degree from Zion Bible Institute, Conway, SC.

Elder Keith is survived by his wife, Joyclyn Keith, Georgetown, SC; his sons, Jerome, Raymond, Raphael, and Johnathan Keith, all of Georgetown, SC, and Maurice Cooper of Raleigh, NC; parents, Mr. Lessie and Evalena Keith, Georgetown, SC; siblings, Betty Jiles and Cynthia Keith, Georgetown, SC, Ray Keith, Sweetwater, TX. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
