James William "Jym" Healy, 47, passed away on April 12, 2025, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Born on October 12, 1977, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Jym brought light and energy to those around him throughout his life. A graduate of Summerville High School, Jym discovered a deep passion for music early on. Whether composing original pieces or immersing himself in the rhythms he loved, music was more than a pastime – it was a vital form of expression that shaped his identity. Jym also had a great appreciation for food and delighted in exploring new flavors and sharing meals with others. His enthusiasm for culinary experiences reflected his broader zest for life. Those who knew him remember his loyalty and warmth – qualities that made him a steadfast friend and a cherished presence in any gathering. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Liz Healy; his father, Matt (Karen) Healy. He also leaves behind his sister, Jill Whisonant; brother-in-law, Bobby Whisonant; and stepsister Brianna Beatty; nephews, Brice Whisonant and Lucas Whisonant. Each carries forward memories of Jym's vibrant spirit and the joy he brought into their lives. A celebration of life will be held on June 7, 2025.
