JAMES HARVEY Obituary

James Dudley Harvey, 86, died on April 12, 2016 at East Cooper Medical Center, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held on 2pm Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church. A viewing will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.

Mr. Harvey was born on July 28, 1939 in Georgetown, SC, to Mr. Abraham Harvey and Mrs. Dessie Wolfe Harvey. Also known as "J.D.", he was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County. While residing in Baltimore, MD, he worked various positions including truck driving. Mr. Harvey was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church and later attended Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Harvey of Atlanta, GA; his longtime companion, Ida Salters of Georgetown, SC; his children, Kathy Reed and Dorine Dekine both of Georgetown, SC, James Smalls of Florida, Dennis Harvey and Doris Spencer both of Dallas, TX; one sister, Melanie Bromell of Fayetteville, NC. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
