Jackie O’Quinn Obituary

Jackie L. O'Quinn, 77 of Port Royal, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Jackie was born on February 5, 1948, in Charleston, SC. The son of the late John Franklin and Irene Edna (Pellum) O'Quinn. He is survived by his life partner Mary Jane (Sam) Bailey / Allison. He worked in Dry Cleaning services for 45 years before going into the flooring business for 15 years and then retiring, He was a member of Beaufort High Tidal Waves Class of 1967. He was a farmer and an avid outdoorsman. He never met a stranger and could make conversation with anyone. You would definitely leave laughing and with a smile on your face after talking to him. He was a member of the Port Royal Masonic Lodge AFM 242 and Worthy Patron of Faith Chapter 167 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: his brothers: Thomas O'Quinn, Everett O'Quinn, and Earl O'Quinn all of Beaufort, two sisters: Barbara Ann O'Quinn of Beaufort and Lorraine Lowrimore of Myrtle Beach, Nieces: Sheri O'Quinn Bailey of Beaufort and Reana Young of Campobello, three Great Nephews: Kevin Young of Florence, Thomas Bailey, and Samuel Bailey of Beaufort, and one Great Niece: Kaithlyn O'Quinn Clisham of Campobello and one Great-Great Nephew Ryder, and his beloved dog Boomer. Preceded in death by his beloved Sister-in-law Carolyn. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside Services will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery beginning at 9:30 AM. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Jackie L. O'Quinn. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Order of the Eastern Star.
