Herman Williams Obituary

Herman Lee Williams, 70, died on January 21, 2018 at his Lexington, SC, residence. Funeral services were held on January 26, 2018 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, where Rev. Dr. Betty Deas Clark is pastor.

Mr. Williams was born on November 26, 1947 in Georgetown, SC to the marital union between Henry Zachariah Williams and Mrs. Rosetta Dennison Williams. His secular education was received in the public schools of Georgetown County. He joined the United States Army and upon receiving an honorable discharge he moved to New York, NY, where he was employed with a local hospital, and later worked with International Paper Corporation, Georgetown, SC. He married the former Miss Mary Lou Brown of Georgetown, SC. Their union of eighteen years was blessed with two daughters. He was a devoted father and maintained a loving relationship with his family

Surviving are his former wife, Mary Lou Williams, Georgetown, SC; his daughters, Cynthia Winns and husband Bryan, Swansea, SC and Vanessa Williams, Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Mary Brooks, Bloomfield, NJ, Irene Hollis, Vailsburg, NJ, Henry Williams, Lexington, SC and Robert Williams, Irvington, NJ. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
