Herman Remers Obituary

Herman Remers Jr., 78, widower of Sally Remers, passed away on December 19, 2025 at his residence in Beaufort, SC.Born on July 21, 1947 in Alexandria, VA to Herman, Sr and Ruby Remers, Herman later moved to Beaufort where he met Sally and the two married in 1986. In 1987 Herman and his wife became foster parents to the 1st child they would later adopt. That was the beginning of opening their home to many children in need of a safe place to call home. They would later adopt 2 other children, although many still call him Papa. Surviving are his three sons, Billy Richards, Cody Remers and Eli Remers, and two daughters, Tonya Sutcliffe(Shawn), and Shanna Richards, and 6 grandchildren. A private service will be held in the Spring with burial in Springbook Cemetary in Fairfield, NY.
