Geraldine Bryant Obituary

Geraldine Deas Bryant died on August 27, 2019 in Georgetown, South Carolina. Funeral services were held on September 4, 2019 at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Plantersville Community, Rev. Rubin Smalls, pastor.

Mrs. Bryant was born on April 29, 1943 in Georgetown, SC to Mr. Henry Dease, Sr. and Mrs. Regina Alston Dease. At an early age she joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Geraldine was educated in the public school system of Georgetown County, where she attended Choppee High School. Following school, she moved to Bronx, NY and later to New Haven, CT. She devoted 34 years as a key cutter and machine operator for Sargent's Manufacturing Company (ASSA ABLOY). She joined Bethel A.M.E.Church, New Haven, CT, until relocating to South Carolina. On June 5, 1965, Geraldine was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. William James Bryant. Their union was blessed with three children.

Surviving are her children, Bobby Earl Bryant, Baltimore, MD, Sheila Bryant Waterman, Georgetown, SC, and Anthony J. Bryant, Sr., Stratford, CT; her siblings, Eveline Knowlin, Mary Grant, and Jannie Greene, all of Georgetown, SC, Samuel Dease and Luther Dease, both of Baltimore, MD. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
