Floyd Green Obituary

Linen-Knox Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Mr. Floyd Eugene Green, age 63, 66 Plover Dr. in the Sampit community of Georgetown, who died on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at his residence in the Sampit community of Georgetown. Mr. Green was the son of the late Johnny Lee Frasier and the late Mary Funnye, both of the Sampit community of Georgetown, and the husband of Carrie G. Green of the Sampit community of Georgetown. Mr. Green is preceded in death by both parents and one sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Green were held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Cumberland AME Church in the Sampit community of Georgetown with the Rev. Barbara A. Nelson, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Cumberland Church cemetery. The remains laid in state in the sanctuary of the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. Viewing was held on Wed., Aug. 24, 2016, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Linen-Knox Funeral Home, 1632 Emanuel St., Georgetown.

Mr. Green is survived by his loving family: wife: Carrie G. Green of the Sampit community of Georgetown; one daughter: Kaliska L. Green of the Sampit community of Georgetown; five sisters: Alice Green of the Sampit community of Georgetown, Christine Wilson of Columbia, Vickie Williams, Patricia Williams and Eve Williams all of Florence; four brothers: Steve Frasier of the Sampit community of Georgetown, Ron Frasier of New Haven, CT, Terry Williams and Matthew Williams, both of Florence; a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call or visit the home of the wife, Carrie G. Green at 843-546-9398 on 66 Plover Court in the Sampit community of Georgetown.
