Ernest Moore Obituary

Ernest "E.J." Moore, Jr., 66, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born in Georgetown County on April 17, 1951, a son of the late Hilary Dolar Moore and Nellie Elizabeth Swails Moore. He grew up in Andrews and attended the Andrews schools. Mr. Moore worked at Andrews Wire and several logging companies until retirement. He was a member of Bloomingvale Pentecostal Holiness Church.

For all who knew Mr. Moore, he was a loving father, a hard worker, loved fishing, and having a good time. His smile and laughter were contagious and his love never ended. His greatest enjoyment was the love of his family.

Surviving are: four children, Melissa Strickland of Georgetown, Christina Moore Brooks of Conway, Jay Moore of Moncks Corner, and Ceara Morris of Andrews; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Lavern Moore Arthur Moore, Bobby Moore, and Hebert Moore, all of Andrews; four sisters, Delynn Wilson, Sandra Howard, Vickie Martin, and Patsy Lockliear, all of Andrews.

Mr. Moore was predeceased by: three sisters, Dorothy Jordan, Inell Goude, and Judy Moore.

Funeral Services will be four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2018, at Bloomingvale Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Elmer Lambert and the Rev. Jeff Goude. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
