Elia Meador Obituary
Born on August 15, 1941, in San Isidro, TX, she was a daughter of the late Marcelo Silva and the late Juliana Pena. Ms. Meador was a member of North Freeway Baptist Church in Houston, TX. She was a caregiver at heart, volunteering at Silverado Assisted Living and taking care of all of her grandchildren until they were old enough to go to school. Ms. Meador enjoyed going for a walk, gardening and sewing.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Lynn Johnson (Robert) of Pawleys Island, Janet Lea Brauer (Marty) of Aurora, CO, Jennifer Lori Haas (Paul) of Colorado Springs, CO and Jill Leanne Gunn (Troy) of Houston; seven grandchildren, Jordan Bethea (Nick) of Fayetteville, AR, Peyton Johnson of Nashville, TN, Savannah Haas of Colorado Springs, CO, Hope Brauer of Aurora, CO, Zachary Elder (Catherine) of New Braunfels, TX and Sydney Elder of New Braunfels, TX; two great grandchildren, Kaiya Bethea and Devon Bethea both of Fayetteville, AR; one brother; Eloy Silva of San Isidro, TX; three sisters, Esiquia Escobar (Omar) of Riviera, TX, Beatriz Johnson (David) of Pasadena, TX and Martha Matlock of Tomball, TX; eight nieces, Elisa Perez (John) of Portland, TX, Andrea Banda (Bobby) of Humble, TX, Stacie Ramirez (Josh) of Deer Park, TX, Brandie Vasquez (Luis) of Katy, TX, Lori Diehl of Tomball, TX, Julie Bone of San Antonio, TX, Billie Matlock of Bismarck, ND and Bobbie Joe Garcia of Houston, TX; four nephews, Omar Noe of Cypress, TX, Andrew Christopher of Katy, TX, Gavin Bone of San Antonio, TX and Joe David Garcia (Cathy) of Santa Elena, TX; and one sister-in-law, Reta Duncan (John Fred) of Denton, TX.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Garcia; and the father of her children, CJ Meador.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at San Isidro Catholic Church, 1560 FM 1017, San Isidro, TX 78588.
