Edmond Irby Obituary

COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT!! It is with love and reflection that we announce the passing of Edmond Irby, beloved father, Army veteran, and friend, who departed this life on July 7, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Edmond was born in Beaufort, South Carolina in 1961 to Willie Irby and Marion Ethel Blocker. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and lived a life marked by service, kindness, laughter, and generosity. Known for his soul food, sense of humor, and deep compassion, Edmond's presence touched many lives. He is survived by his son, Jarret Irby-Holden, and extended family across generations of the Irby and Blocker families. A cremation service will be handled by Cascade Memorial Funeral Home in Washington. Edmond will be laid to rest with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery, where he will receive a headstone and burial flag in honor of his service. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this time. Updates will be shared as final arrangements are completed.
