David Tibbetts Obituary

David A. Tibbetts, 65 of Beaufort, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

David was born on December 19, 1960, in Fall River, Massachusetts and later adopted by the late Rex Lawrence and Mildred Rose (Thurston) Tibbetts. He met his now wife in 1978 on Parris Island and later married November 4,1981. He served in the United States Marine Corps and later became director of operations at Coastal Concrete. He would soon leave that job to pursue his career path of long-haul over the road driving. Second to Vicki, riding was the love of his life. He would throw on his Levi jeans, a t-shirt, biker boots, bandana and vest and ride for hours on his Triumph and Harley. While on these rides he met many people who would later become his "brothers". To know him was to know what "true loyalty" was. He was a man of pride who always put his family first and never let them need for anything.

He is preceded in death by Jessica Laboy(daughter), Lawrence "Tiger" Tibbetts(brother), Mildred Tibbetts(mother) and Rex Tibbetts(father). He is survived by his wife, Vicki; Son in Law, Daniel; children, Jason, Tabitha, Tiffaney(DeAndrae), Mary(Byron), Jacob, Jordin(Jayson) and Isaiah; Grandchildren Anthony(Macie), Olivia, Kathleen, Amari, Lil Byron, Benjamin, Nikoli, Elyjah, Gabriel, Xavier and Samuel; Great Grandchildren Brandon and Theodore; Siblings, Joe, Gary, Mark, Renee, Jean and Paulene.
