David L. Marlowe, 84, the widower of Mary M. Marlowe and the beloved husband of Juanita Miller Marlowe, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Marlowe was born the son of Emery Marlowe and Mary M. Todd Marlowe on May 10, 1937 in Horry County. He was a retired employee with Georgetown County Department of Transportation. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, caring brother, and a loyal friend.

He is survived by: his wife, Juanita; six children, Marie Swenson, David A. Marlowe (Sylvia), Jimmy D. Marlowe, Sidney Marlowe (Jimmie Lynn), Nancy Hucks (Ernest "Ernie"), and Etau Cooper (James Wesley); nine grandchildren, Rosemary (Dax), Hadrian (Heather), Denise (JW), Kyle (Cindy), Dustin (Melissa), Tyson (Ciara), Cohen (Sierra), Christina (Noah), and Leah (Chance); and ten great-grandchildren, Luke, Marissa, Matthew, Serenity, Jada, Kylie, Jackson, Kelsea, Brice, and Scarlett. He is also survived by: four sisters, Gertrude Miller, Ruby Soles, Edna Christmas, and Thelma Lowrimore; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by: his first wife, Mary; his parents; five brothers, James Marlowe, Milby Marlowe, Isaac Marlowe, Lonnie Marlowe, and Luther Marlowe; and two sisters, Dorothy Robinson and Kathleen Tindall.

A Home Going Celebration will be 4PM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Cornerstone Church of God, 600 E Broad Street, Hemingway. Interment directed by McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Old Field Cemetery.

The Marlowe family will greet family and friends 6-8PM, Saturday evening, September 18, 2021 in the sanctuary of Cornerstone Church of God.

The Marlowe family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Cheryl Williams, Sheila Williams, Connie Altman, Rev. and Mrs. Doug Mathis, Carter Walker, and Mrs. Billie Pope for their love and compassion during this journey.
