David Leonard Obituary

David J. Leonard, 34, of Little River, SC left us to be with our eternal Father on September 28th, 2025. David was a beautiful reminder that a person can hold many truths at once. An anomaly, he was big, strong, and burly on the outside, and a warm-hearted, gentle spirited teddy bear through and through. His presence could fill a room, but it was his laughter-and the way he made others laugh-that lit it up. His heart was bigger than his appetite, and that says a lot to those who knew him. He loved hitting the gym and staying active, and was a ISSA certified personal trainer. However, his true strength showed up in the way he cared, connected and loved everyone. When you spoke to David, you felt heard-he listened with intention, as if you were the only person in the world in that moment. David loved the beach, country music and being in nature, had a growing love for cold plunges and shoes, and had a relentless need to bring home a puppy wherever he saw one. He lived for time with his family. David is survived by his mother, Cheryl Baddour Leonard, father, Jeff Leonard, sister, Adriana Leonard, and brother, Matthew Leonard. Our hearts will never be whole, but our memories will never fade. David will be missed by all those lucky enough to have been touched by his grace. In lieu of a funeral service, the family will be holding Celebration of Life on November 1st. Details to follow.
