DAVID CREWS Obituary

David Crews, Sr., 63, died on January 19, 2016 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Memorial services were held on January 23, 2016 at Wilds Courtyard Chapel. Mr. Crews was born on November 24, 1952 in Andrews, South Carolina, one of eight children of the marital union between Mr. Leroy Edward Crews and Mrs. Alma Virginia Meads Crews. His parents and a brother Roy Crews, all preceded him in death. He was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County and graduated from Andrews High School. Mr. Crews was also an Honorable Master Mason of Harpers Lodge No. 225 and found much enjoyment in Nascar Racing, fishing, and watching deer. He earned a reputation for being an extremely hard worker and jack-of-all trades. This was most evident through the entirety of his thirty-eight year long career at Georgetown Steel Mill. On November 23, 2002, he was united in marriage to the former Miss Angela Ford, merging their lovely families into one.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Crews, Georgetown, SC; his children, David Crews, Jr., Andrews, SC, Jason O. Ford, Sr., Georgetown, SC, Kareem Larry Ford, Washington, DC, Akina Ford and Bianca Ford both of Laurel, MD, Courtney F. Brown, Washington, DC, Fatiha F. Brookins, Misua Amoria, Japan; his siblings, Edward Crews, Calvin Crews, and Evelyn Crews Castleman, all of Andrews, SC, Josephine Crews Cox, Ann Crews Steel and Kathy Crews Goude all of Georgetown, SC.
