Connie Galloway Obituary

Connie Virginia Carter Galloway, 86, gained her angel wings when she passed away peacefully at Myrtle Beach Manor on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.

Connie was born in Georgetown on September 6, 1935, a daughter of the late James Bonham Carter and Dorothy Thomas Carter. She graduated from Winyah High School in 1953 and attended Columbia College. Connie was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was an avid golfer and achieved the elusive hole in one and won the Maggie Valley Club championship. Connie was an accomplished singer and sang in the choir at Saint Paul's Waccamaw United Methodist Church and enjoyed performing with the Star Shine Singing group. She was also an excellent artist that enjoyed depicting the beauty around us on canvas by the stroke of a brush.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill Galloway with whom she never had an argument; a daughter, Dianne Grace (Craig) of Celebration Florida; two grandchildren, Sarah and Cameron Grace; five siblings, Keith Carter (June), Pat Woods (Bill), Evelyn Hall (Harold), Billy Carter and Glenn Carter.

Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, August 11, 2017, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Milton McGuirt. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday at the Fellowship Hall of the Church from ten until eleven o'clock.
