Cindy Gainey Obituary

Cindy Lee Marlowe Gainey, 56, beloved wife of Gerald Manly Gainey, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Tidelands Georgetown Community Hospital.

Mrs. Gainey was born the daughter of Lewis Crawford "LC" Marlowe and Margaret Marie Ard (Billy) Blakeley on December 27, 1961. She was a member of Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending family time with "all her babies". She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, and a loyal friend.

Cindy and Gerald were married on August 5, 1995 and celebrated 23 years together. Their home was blessed with: three children, Christina "Christy" Lee (Robert III) Sims., Jamie Lynn (Ricky) Todd, and Jake Morgan (Amanda) Evans; seven grandchildren, Robert IV, Ricky "RJ" Jr., Maddison, Royal, Austin, Theresa, and Kaitlyn; and four great-grandchildren, Emilio, Braedon, Denise, and Jessie. She also leaves behind: five brothers, Billy Dean (Cynthia) Blakely, Tony Lynn Marlowe, Raymond W. (Jan) Blakeley, Timmy D. Blakeley, Danny (Darla) Blakeley; and five sisters, Rose "Jackie" Cooper, Judith "Candy" Sessions, Virginia "Jennie" E. (Dovall) Miller, Nita (Brian) Burton, and Jennifer M. (Sean) O'Melia.

She was predeceased by: her parents; and two brothers, Wayne Marlowe and Jessie Lavone Marlowe.

A Home Going Celebration will be 10AM, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be Rev. Brett Gardner and Ricky Glisson. Burial directed by McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8PM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the sanctuary of Holy Trinity PH Church.
