Charles Gamble Obituary

Charles James Gamble, 96, passed away on May 18, 2018, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. After cremation no memorial service was held.



Born on March 7, 1922, in Trio, he was a son of the late Charles James Gamble and the late Suzanna Mitchum Gamble. Mr. Gamble was a WWII US Marine veteran that served at Pearl Harbor. He was a barber in Georgetown for 40 years and enjoyed painting pictures, playing music on his organ and reading his Bible.



Mr. Gamble had a big family that loved him that consisted of children, step-children and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Gamble, Judy Gamble Jones (Cecil) and Mary Gamble; two sons, Robert Wayne Gamble (Donna) and Jimmy Gamble; 10 grandchildren, David Stacey Foxworth (Dawn), David Charles Crews (Linda), Nicole Gamble, Tracey Gamble, Daniel Jones (Jessica), Tammy Jones Port (Bryan), Kim Jones, Sabrina Gamble Ray (David), Sonya Gamble (Preston) and Katrina Gamble; 20 great grandchildren, River Stacey, Christopher, Chelsea, Daniel Thomas, Mason, Bradley, Gabriel, Addison, Kayla, Brittany, Brandon, Austin, Hayden, Tyler, Haleigh, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Jason, JC and Dalton; and numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Gamble; a son, Robert Wayne Gamble; four sisters, Ida Williams, Annabelle Mitchum, Lucille Beleski and Mildred Wilson.
