Charlene Clark Obituary

With profound sadness, Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt & friend to many Charlene Clark aka Shi , passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 94 years old. Prior to her late stage of dementia, She lived a life defined by her devotion to her family. Her home was the heart of family. She loved to host and entertain, always ready to feed you or pour you a drink. She loved anything by the water, with many fond times on the river or in her pool with her loved one's. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary and was very generous in giving her time and money to the Wounded Warriors as well as many other charities. Her smile was infectious and she was a feisty one, when she needed to be. A mother of six boys will teach you to be! She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her quick wit, and her ability to make anyone feel special. Her family was arguably her most important achievement, and not a day went by where she didn't talk about how much her children and grandchildren meant to her. Shi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Clark and Four of her children, Jimmy, Tommy, Donny and Kenny. She is survived by two sons, Robert Clark and Jon Clark, her daughter in law, Martha Clark, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, Sister, Rosemary Terry; nieces, nephews, and friends. A Gather with friends and family will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10:30am in Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, Thursday in Beaufort National Cemetery. The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a reception for family and friends at the AmVets following the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ladies Auxiliary of AmVets that meant a lot to Shi.
