Catherine Thrasher Obituary

Catherine Rentz Thrasher, 73 of Greer, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, peacefully at her residence with her husband by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be forever loved and always missed. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Beaufort National Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM. Family and friends attending the Service will need to arrive by 9:30 AM. Catherine was born on June 23, 1952, in Trieste, Italy, the daughter of the late Clyde Holbrook Rentz, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth (Feaster) Bernet. She later married Cecil Dan Thrasher on December 31,1993 in Beaufort, SC. She enjoyed spending time with her family, including her grandchildren which she loved very much. She loved her fur babies, playing cards, reading, dancing and Elvis. Survivors include: Husband: Cecil; Children: Lisa and Cathy Jo; Siblings: Bo, Joey and Cindy; Grandchildren: Taylor, Daniel, Nicholas and Taira. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Carol, John, Rebecca and Perry.
