Carrie Neal Obituary

Linen-Knox Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Bell Neal, age 88, of 5575 Exodus Drive in the Plantersville Community of Georgetown. Mrs. Neal died on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Beckett McNeil of Conway and the late Mrs. Charlotte Deas of Georgetown. Mrs. Neal was the wife of the late Mr. Francis Neal of the Plantersville Community. Mrs. Neal is preceded in death by both parents and her husband.

Funeral services for Mrs. Neal were held on Thursday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in the Plantersville Community with the Rev. Rubin Smalls, pastor, officiating the service. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The remains lay in state in the sanctuary of the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Viewing was held on Wednesday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in the Plantersville Community.

Mrs. Neal is survived by her loving family, including nine daughters: Mrs. Sylvia Jones, Mrs. Carol Skinner, Mrs. Mary Woodard, Mrs. Frances DeBreaux and Mrs. Andrea Murray, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mrs. Loubertha Myers of the Plantersville Community of Georgetown; Mrs. Loumertistine Howell of Winston, Ga.; Mrs. Vermell Forster of College Park, Ga., and Mrs. Cynthia Neal of Irmo; four sons: Mr. Richard Neal and Mr. Marvin Neal, both of the Plantersville Community of Georgetown; Mr. Sherman Neal of Naperville, Ill.; and Mr. Tyron Neal of Simpsonville; three sisters: Mrs. Louester Hunt of Hamden, Ct.; Mrs. Sarah Gillard of New Haven, Ct., and Mrs. Frankie McNeil of Conway; one brother, Mr. James McNeil of London, England; 31 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call or visit the home of the deceased at 843-546-3090 on 5575 Exodus Drive in the Plantersville Community of Georgetown.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Linen-Knox Funeral Home.
