Carolyn Nelson Obituary
Ms. Nelson was born on March 1, 1941 in Georgetown, SC, to Mr. Joseph Nelson and Mrs. Serena Darby Nelson. She attended the public schools of Georgetown County and graduated from Howard High School in 1958. She was later a member of Solomon Temple Baptist Church, Bronx, NY, under the pastorate of Rev. Eugene Rodgers. For fifteen years Carolyn worked with the Bronx Baptist Day Care Center, and until 2017 was employed with SVCS for the Developmentally Challenged.
Surviving are her children, Tony Nelson, Minister Darrell Nelson, Meridan, CT, Doran Nelson, Traun Nelson, and Tara Nelson, all of New York; her siblings, Jeanette Thompson, Hartford, CT, Dorothy Prioleau, Sadie Williams, Willie Joe Brightwell, Georgetown, SC, Hazel Campbell, Hartford, CT, Lafaye Moultrie, Georgetown, SC, Doris Price, Windsor, CT, and Dr. Robert Nelson of Alpharetta, GA. Funeral services entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
